SPRINGVILLE, NY [Oct. 17, 2017] – Fluidampr® announces updates to two popular Performance Diesel dampers for Cummins® applications. Revisions affect part numbers 920301 and 920321 for 2003-2009 5.9L, and 2007.5-present 6.7L Cummins engines respectively.
Both feature a new tapered outer housing. The improved design allows the accessory drive belt to be removed and installed with the Fluidampr Performance Diesel damper in place.
To meet the high power demands of professional sled pullers, a thicker mounting flange area and tighter tolerance bolt holes increase structural integrity on both dampers. This update also carries over to the 5.9L Competition Series damper, p/n 960341 used in custom, no pulley applications.
New to 920301 only is an integrated crankshaft position sensor tone wheel. The improved one piece design replaces the factory tone wheel to allow more clamping force to the crankshaft mounting flange.
Revisions were made on feedback from professional race engine builders, performance diesel enthusiasts and work truck operators.
