SPRINGVILLE, NY [May 22, 2026] – Fluidampr has released an updated Performance Diesel crankshaft damper for 2011-2026 Ford 6.7L Power Stroke engines, p/n 800241. The new design supersedes p/n 800221 and incorporates several updates for improved fitment, installation and high-performance durability. A matching Dry Sump Adapter, p/n 400018, is also now available separately for competition applications.
The updated damper retains the original equipment eight-inch outer diameter while integrating both the eight-rib accessory drive pulley and factory-spec external balance counterweight into the outer housing. It’s designed for standard accessory drive configurations and is not compatible with dual belt high-output alternator systems. The revised design incorporates additional oil pan clearance to support later model 6.7L Power Stroke applications. By integrating the accessory drive pulley into the damper housing, the assembly reduces overall weight by approximately one-half pound while maintaining Fluidampr’s broad-range torsional vibration damping characteristics. Fluidampr viscous dampers are designed to provide maintenance-free operation for the life of the engine with no tuning or rebuilds required.
The damper features a corrosion-resistant, RoHS compliant black zinc finish along with laser engraved SFI 18.1 certification markings for long-term durability and appearance in street, towing and racing environments.

Dry Sump Adapter
For competition 6.7L Power Stroke diesel engines utilizing an external dry sump oiling system, Fluidampr developed a lightweight aluminum Dry Sump Adapter specifically for use with p/n 800241.
The updated damper incorporates six pre-drilled 3/8-24 UNF-28 bolt holes on a 3.75-inch bolt circle. The Dry Sump Adapter uses three of these mounting locations to properly position the mandrel drive beyond the damper mounting bolts while maintaining common dry sump drive alignment.
The adapter includes a standard 3.20-inch bolt circle with pre-drilled 3/8-16 UNC threaded holes for compatibility with common dry sump mandrel drive configurations. It also features a corrosion-resistant black anodized finish.
Installation Hardware Recommendation
Fluidampr recommends High Strength Bolt Kit p/n 300016 when installing p/n 800241 in high-performance applications. The kit includes premium ARP fasteners and a diamond-coated friction washer designed to increase clamping force and improve damper retention under elevated torque loads.
