Fluidampr staff were greeted by sponsored Formula Drift PRO Driver “Rad” Dan Burkett, plus track spotter and wife Renee, as they visited company headquarters in Springville, New York on June 18, 2024.
Morning Routine
The eye-catching RAD Industries Toyota Supra was rolled out in the parking lot for a morning display. After sporting fresh tires and installing the front clip, Dan took the time highlight his 1,000hp 2JZ build under the hood. The engine features the new Fluidampr 2JZ damper with dry sump drive pulley (p/n 840821).
Dan also met with company co-owner Louis Horschel and an introduction to sister company, Buffalo Turbine. In fact, Dan even hopped on a new Buffalo Turbine Blitz stand-on debris blower to clear the roadway for drifting use later in the day.
Factory Tour
Later, Dan and Renee met up with Fluidampr’s very own, Nick Orefice for a factory tour. As the team strolled through the 120,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility they got an insider look at how Fluidampr performance dampers are made. They also met with key engineers, machinists, and assemblers. Dan even got to put the finishing fill plug spot welds on a damper and package it up for shipment.
Dine & Drift
When the lunch bell rang workers gathered outside for a cookout and some parking lot drift action. Eight lucky employees were even randomly chosen to hop in for a ride-along. With plenty of smoke and applying fresh rubber sealant to the parking lot, Dan ripped and slid as the crowd cheered on.
