Fluidampr Guest Lectures At Leading Motorsports Tech Schools

Brian LeBarron News

Understanding the fundamentals of crankshaft torsional vibration and harmonic dampers is key to building engine reliability.

Fluidampr was recently honored to bring OEM and factory race team design and development, and manufacturing expertise to multiple classrooms at two of the country’s leading motorsports technical schools. The two-hour sessions contained a mix of theory and applied materials designed to engage students.

“When you break down the science and show how torsional vibration effects efficiency and durability, it becomes clear why we have harmonic dampers,” says Fluidampr instructional designer and guest lecturer, Brian LeBarron. “There’s various methods to control it, and one of the easiest and most effective ways is upgrading to a Fluidampr performance damper. Here we’re able to review the case studies and review real world data to empower our industry’s future race engine builders.”
