Springville, NY [May 15, 2025] — Fluidampr, a leading manufacturer of high-performance crankshaft viscous dampers, will present its latest advancements at the High Performance Expo (HPX) from June 3 to 5 at the Charlotte Convention Center.
Addressing Modern Torsional Vibration Challenges for ICE and EV Powertrains
Fluidampr will highlight solutions for powertrain durability for racing and OEM high-performance engine and powertrain designers, as well as NVH specialists. The booth will focus on addressing modern torsional vibration challenges associated with high horsepower, high rpm internal combustion engines (ICE) and electric vehicle (EV) powertrains, including increasing combustion pressure per cylinder, restrictive damper cooling airflow, achieving long product life, and hybrid driveline applications.

The Fluidampr performance damper for Ford 5.0L Coyote applications features a light weight, laser welded aluminum outer housing with integrated drive pulleys, and a hardened steel crank hub for durability.
Among the featured products will be crankshaft, camshaft, and drivetrain torsional viscous dampers. These components are engineered for maximum reliability and durability, offering SFI certification as needed for professional racing applications.
Innovative Dual Chamber Design Enhances Powertrain Durability
Two key recent innovations on display will be the company’s new nested twin inertia rings and dual chamber inertia ring crankshaft damper designs. “The use of dual inertia ring chambers, to help divide up the thermal dissipation, has been the most impactful innovation,” said Aaron Neyman, Product Engineering Manager at parent company, Vibratech TVD. “We’ve used them as OEM on many high-performance forced induction applications.”

The innovative dual chamber design by Fluidampr parent company Vibratech TVD divides thermal dissipation and is ideal for OEM high performance durability with forced induction.
Fluidampr’s Advanced Manufacturing and Testing Capabilities
Fluidampr, in partnership with Vibratech TVD, is an American based turn-key partner for OEMs and racing teams by offering torsional vibration testing, analysis, and production damper development. The company’s low to high-volume manufacturing capabilities are supported by automotive quality high-volume automation CNC production cells, and both steel and aluminum laser welding. Additionally, Fluidampr offers laser engraved data matrix serialization, emphasizing reduced supply chain risk through domestic manufacturing and sourcing of North American materials.
“Fluidampr is well known throughout the performance racing industry for off-the-shelf, high-quality performance dampers,” said Ivan Snyder, Fluidampr OEM & Factory Racing Account Manager. “HPX in Charlotte provides the high value in-person connection to learn about our award-winning ISO 9001 design and development, and American manufacturing capabilities right in the backyard of OEM and top-tier racing technical centers.”

Fluidampr is capable of laser engraving data matrix serialization for OEM and volume race engine production.
